Situation

The Camping La Ribera is settled in the Solsonès region, nicknamed for many as “the region of thousand masies” (the typical Catalan peasants house). Since it is settled in the heart of Catalonia, the Solsonès is the natural passing area between the Central Depression and the Pyrenees. This is the cause of its extreme variety and richness of landscape, which embraces all the imaginable registers between the calcareous and earthy areas at the south and the conifers and beeches woods genuine from the Prepyrenees.

Furthermore, el Solsonès is crossed by four rivers, whose margins maintain the whole year a perennial fresh greenness.

The Camping La Ribera arises at the right margin of the principal of these rivers, the Cardener, at the moment when it raises the municipalities of Clariana and Navès. This is the place where its waters find a small and pleasant lake, the Sant Ponç dam, which is the ideal place for fishing, swimming, having a bath, and practice any kind of water sports.

Despite the campsite is settled at only three kilometres of the main road of the region (which communicates the villages of Cardona and Solsona), its belt is far away from any urban noise. The tranquillity of the place, and the leafy woods of its surroundings, allow the morning silence only being broken by the birdsongs and the river’s water rustles.
